Annual Fundraiser

Our annual fundraiser is a 100% community-organized event that draws together hundreds of families and businesses with the common goal of supporting PS 261.

All proceeds from the Bid & Bash help fund critical academic resources and enrichment opportunities for our students, including school supplies for our teachers, afterschool care, literacy events, STEM and arts programming, just to name a few. It also allows us to offer free community-wide events, such as our annual Fall Fest, Rainbow Run, and Outdoor Movie Night.

NO SLEEP TILL BROOKLYN! Get ready to be in an Empire State of Mind at the 261 Bid Bash on April 30th, 6:30–9pm at 345 Adams Street, Brooklyn! The winning theme is 261 or Nowhere — so don your best homage to a famed New Yorker, NY icon, or 261 pride itself.

This annual, 100% community-organized Bid Bash fundraiser brings together hundreds of PS 261 families, staff, and local businesses for a borough-mazing night — all in support of PS 261 students. It’s the Big Apple of our school year — no scavenging required (sorry, pizza rat).

Think of it as your favorite neighborhood bodega: everything you love, all in one place — great food, great drinks, and great company. And childcare is being offered too — by humans, not bodega cats. Even the most seasoned city pigeons will want to flock to this one.
