Wellness Council

To become involved or learn more about the PS 261 Wellness Council, please contact Andrea Strong, [email protected]

The PS 261 Wellness Council is made up of parents and teachers working together to help our children thrive. We have a holistic approach to wellness that includes nutrition, movement, sustainability, and social and emotional intelligence. What this all means for PS 261 children is the Alternative Menu, nutrition education in every grade, gardening, parent workshops and student assemblies that promote wellness and sustainability, and which give our children the tools needed for meaningful social and emotional development. Take a look at some of the work we have done, listed below! If any of this sounds of interest to you, we hope you will join us!
